As Janiven's voice fades, the sound of footsteps is heard for just a bit behind the party; and then again before them, as you approach a crucial junction in the halls. Though not as close as they could be, the footfalls are heavy, and have the tell-tale sign of nails in cobbled boots grating lightly upon stone.
"That could be trouble," Janiven hisses, as she nocks an arrow.

Flange held his hand out behind him to the rest of the party. "Hold steady but do not attack on sight. Those are boots on the stone, not bones."

The boots get closer in Flange's ears, and from behind the party three figures come into sight. They're wearing thick armour, black - just like that of a Hellknight's - but after a moment, inspection shows the armour is made of boiled leather with metal studs and is simply shaped to emulate the Hellknight orders. All three have longswords drawn and look down the sewer at the party with a wicked grin.
"Halt, by the name of the Order of the Rack!" one yells.
Initiative order:
Flange
Heldalel
Hellknights
Eridana
Moira
Janiven
Darvan
The Hellknights are 15 feet back from the last person in order.

Eyes narrowed, Flange spits on the ground. "Stand down or you will feed my sword with your blood!"
Flange readies an attack. <Trigger: If one of the Hellknights moves to attack, Flange will attack.>

Heldalel nocks an arrow as well, preparing to attack if the Hellknights move in. The Hellknights, in fact, do just that, charging down the narrow passage to the person taking up the rear, Darvan.
Heldalel misses with his arrow, and Darvan is cut for 6 points of damage. The others crowd in behind the first fellow.
