Iaur's eyes looked along to Valkhaur for a moment, but then he simply turned back to Calandrel, stepping away from the table as he clutches his staff with both hands, leaning forward on it, as he shifts to give access to Zellara, assuming she will need the space for her cards.
"That uncouth fellow. I appreciate that the laws are almost worthless," he continued in Elvish, as if he had not been interrupted, "But yet we should be cautious of the law, even if to ensure we do not fall into a trap lain by Lamm's surely well-paid associates in the constabulary. I hope that in your rashness you can see this possibility. It will fall to the elves, as always, to steady out the brashness of humans. Say nothing of the dwarf and the halfling, though I will admit the latter seems to have some sense compared to the rest of his ken."

"Say nothing of the dwarf and the halfling, though I will admit the latter seems to have some sense compared to the rest of his ken."
Jessop looks upwards at the older elf, for the first time acting as though he understands the elven tones. Replying in common, he says, "Thank you for the compliment, I suppose."
He then looks back towards the harrower, a hint of a grin crossing his lips.
