Edrik draws his sword and moves (20 ft.) closer to the nearest goblin (G3).[rand=4886804418505557730668135448969720208299366026228179641561662215]

Darvil, concealed under the table, takes a dagger and hurls it at the goblin.

"No, no...not that one. Perhaps this...?" Garan mutters to himself, still flipping pages of his book, still flat on his back from falling off the table.
"Aha! This one's perfect!" He almost shouts, as he springs to his feet. Garan then begins to recite the "Whimbledown Goblin Massacre," a tale recounting the completely unsuccessful invasion attempt on Whimbledown by the goblin tribes dwelling in the Fenwall Mountains. As he extols the fallacies of the goblins in prose, Garan's voice swells with power as it carries to the far corners of the grounds; carrying with it the promise of victory in the battle this day.
(Garan uses "Inspire Courage" as a standard action, granting all allies +1 to attack and damage rolls)

Trei finally manages to get his dagger out. He looks to the goblin in front of him and then to his dagger. Deciding he has a better idea Trei takes a step back (5 foot step diagonally away from goblin) and calls another ball of plasma into being in his free hand.
[Force Missile, Evoker power, Standard Action, 1d4+1(intense spells), Automatic hit, no save]
Trei throws the missile unerringly at the goblin. (1+1=2 Force Damage)

Trei steps back, his missile hitting the goblin squarely in the chest. It falls backwards off the apple cart, arms flailing, and the smoking hole left in its armor and deeper is a pretty good sign it's not getting up again.
Murchadh's shuriken clatters harmlessly off the stall next to the goblin he targeted. It seems to have landed unharmed in a slice of dark bread, which the goblin excitedly picks up, continuing to munch with one hand while it charges forward, dogslicer raised. The weapon may be made of scrap, but it seems to hurt plenty as it bites into Murchadh's side.
[5 damage to Murchadh]
The other goblin doesn't seem to be appropriately startled at Edrik's calm approach. He has noticed the children nearby, but his interest, thankfully, doesn't seem to be their tender young flesh but rather a bright red wooden ball one of them has dropped. They scramble away as the goblin approaches, picks up the toy, and then throws it maliciously at Edrik. Thankfully, it clatters harmlessly off his shield.
The people continue to flee, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to go. Screams are coming from every direction: no place is safe.
INITIATIVE ORDER: Trei Goblins Camlo Murchadh Edrik Darvil Garan

Camlo, furious that the dedication of this beautiful cathedral to his deity (among others) is being interrupted on the day of the swallowtail release, tries to keep his anger in check, but succeeds only slightly. He was no stranger to goblin raids, there had been more than a few on the caravans of his youth.
He charges at the goblin nearest him (the one who threw the ball at Edrik), praying to Desna to guide his morningstar.

The goblin never saw it coming, just collapsed in a crushed messy heap.

Garan, still making his way through the first act of the "Whimbledown Goblin Massacre," looks around to see Sir Edrik encroach on a goblin. Garan almost interrupts his song by laughing when it threw the red ball at him. By the Gods, he thinks to himself, that was so funny I'll have to write that down later.
He turns to look at the rest of the battle, jumping slightly as said goblin is turned into a pancake by a hurtling armor-clad figure. Why do the most interesting things happen when I can't record them? He sighs to himself.

Murchadh surprised himself with his reaction to the goblin's attack even as he was in the middle of it.

Murchadh's first attack cracked so solidly with the goblin's head that the backswing whooshed over the collapsed body before he could stop it.
All the goblins here in the square are dead, but the screams and chaos around make it clear that the attack is far from over.

As the last goblin falls, Garan finishes the first act of the story. Saddened he couldn't finish such an epic tale, he pulls out his book and flips to a page. He places a bookmark there to mark his spot during the tale, just in case he had time to finish the rest. He then jots down some notes of the attack after the speech.
"...goblin pancake and punch-to-the-face...and done!" He murmurs, finishing a sentence with a flourish of his pen. "What a tale this will make, with an almost unbelievable plot twist! Surely there must be more to come!" Garan says to himself aloud, clapping his book shut with some satisfaction. He turns to his two companions, almost tripping over the wooden ball that had somehow made its way inconveniently under his feet. "Sir Edrik! Sir Darvil! What course of action shouldst we pursue next?"

"Well done Darvil, Garan," says Edrik quickly, "I'm going to go see if any of the other townspeople need help."
Edrik glances around the festival grounds, noting all the folk who had aided the townspeople in the battle.
"Well done master Cleric, master Wizard, you too noble sir," says Edrik to Camlo, Trei, and Murchadh. "I am Edrik, and I am going to see if any of the townsfolk need assistance. Your help would be most appreciated."

Though Camlo notices the others, he is too distracted by the dead or dying man to pay heed. He rushes up to the fellow, checking for signs of life and praying to Desna that he is not too late.
(If the man is alive, Camlo will use his Channel Energy power to attempt to heal him.)
