Looking at the fire, Trazish saw the villagers leaving to get the water and couldn't help but feel the time crawl by. Not wanting to waste time, Trazish thought about diving into the fire and quickly trying to take what he could, but the dancing flames quickly killed that thought.
Suddenly, a thought dawned on him. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small ruby red ring. "Well, seeing that it's going to take time to put that fire out, anyone want to try to dive in with a Ring of Fire Resist?"

Naerwen stared at the hut and thought for a moment. "Do you think it would work if I came up from underneath near where the cot used to be and had you guys pour water on that spot ... assuming you can get to it?"

Ayame scuttled over to the hut catching that something they needed was inside and under a cot.
"Would you guys like me to try my Rod or my hair? I might be able to do it was well if I use the ring and or pour water over myself, and I don't mind a few singed ends."
She glanced around at the things they just killed.
"Also, maybe I could control one of these things to go in there...."

Naerwen looked at Aya puzzled. "Your hair? ... what does your hair do? I mean ... if you think you can figure out how to get the items I won't say no." Glancing at Aya's rod Naerwen slightly arched an earthen eyebrow. "I'm not so sure I completely trust that thing ..." At the mention of raising the dead (again) Naerwen slightly cringed. "Let's just let them stay as they are. They've been tortured enough."

(OOC:....Well, those are certainly some creative ideas. Clarifications on those ideas to guide your decision-making:
-Wearing a Ring of Fire Resistance would effectively render the wearer immune to any non-magical flames while searching the remains of the hut. You would still need to make Fortitude saves regarding smoke inhalation.
-You can use the 'Earth Glide' ability to search around underneath the hut. However, you do not gain the 'tremorsense' of the earth elemental while wild-shaping, so you would essentially be blindly searching (i.e. a Perception check with a high DC).
-You can use the 'Prehensile Hair' hex to sift around the house to search, but it only has 10 foot reach; so you would be taking fire damage and be making smoke-inhalation checks. But the hair cannot be damaged when being used in this way. You could also try to use the Rod of Wonder, which has its own dangers in its random way.
Hope this helps.)
As the party continues to discuss their options, a couple minutes pass by as villagers head down to the town well further down the road.

Vulgrim shrugs as the three contemplate how to get the things that the group needs. "I cannae do anything, other than heal ya or get meself burnt gettin' ya out of the building if ye collapse."
Vulgrim gestures toward the building.
"Do what ye want, though the fire resistant ring is soundin' like the better idea."

Naerwen glanced at Trazish. "Well, if you feel up to it I won't say no. I can try and detect the magic items to help pinpoint the location for you. That might help make sure the flames aren't magical too." After a pause she added, "maybe a bit of guidance too."
Cast Detect Magic (I have a wand for some strange reason) Right before Trazish goes in - cast Guidance

"Well," Trazish said as he started to remove his sword and armor, "I guess I'll be the one going in. Hold my stuff and try to show me where to go. Oh," looking up with a look that said that he was forcing himself to remember to say something, "thanks for the spell."
As he set his armor to the side, Trazish stood in plain clothes and looked up at the elder, "So just tell me about where the bed was," and with that slipped the ring on and started for the burning pile that was the house.

With an amused-bushy-eyebrow lift, the Elder points out directions to Trazish as he makes his way through the building.Trazish needs to make a Perception check, adding a +2 circumstance bonus with the Elder's directions. It will take him about a minute to search the building. Smoke inhalation checks need to be made each ROUND, so I will need Trazish to also roll 9 more Fortitude saves. Results of the search and saves will be posted after the rolls.(OOC: Just in case this seems harsh, here are the rules about it: www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/environment/environmental-rules#TOC-Smoke-Effects)

OOC: Does it help him any with the detect magic/guidance that I did to try and help pinpoint the items for him/give him directions? oooh ... I just saw the thing about the bag of holding. How long would it take me to fill that up and put water on the house where the items are/Trazish is walking?

(OOC: Sorry about the delay, work decided to swallow my life for the last couple days/weekend. Anyways, let me contribute to your studying-for-finals-related procrastination...)
Trazish fails saves 1, 5, 6, 8, and 9. This results in him taking [dice=6][dice=6] points of nonlethal damage from smoke inhalation.
Stumbling amidst the flaming wreck of the hut and coughing from the smoke that fills the air, Trazish manages to make his way to what might have at one point had been a cot. Following the directions given to him, he finds the secret compartment nearby; the space holding a small ornate wooden box, a large sack, and what appears to be a coin purse.
(OOC: Making the assumption here that Trazish will do what all treasure-hungry adventurers do and take all the things out)
Grabbing all of the items, the former-half-elf dashes out of the burning hut as it collapses further; the walls falling inwards and crushing anything that may have remained. Coughing the smoke out of his lungs, Trazish rejoins the party and individuals watching his effort.[/color]
"Still alive I see," says Jeremiah, who appears to be incredulous that Trazish would go to such lengths to retrieve the items. "Feel free to take all of those things you have found, I will be writing to the Governor of Oakdale to provide aid for rebuilding and such."
Presuming at least someone takes a look inside the various containers, they will find the following:
Sack: A small-sized shortbow Breastplate Armor with ornate symbols etched into it A headband with a shepherd's crook decorating the front A ragged, sinister looking garment decorated with animal bones
Coin purse: 100 platinum pieces, 200 gold pieces, 50 silver pieces
Ornate Wooden Box: An unusual looking seed, about half the size of a human hand, bound by a leather thong to make an amulet of sorts.[rand=16649155642485614507790386750815815096866582035647732215451467311]

Naerwen moves over to see if Trazish is ok then excitedly rummages through the items he fetched from the fire. As she looks at the items she tries to further identify the ones giving off magical auras (from the detect magic). As she inspects each item she hands it to the person she assumes it would be best suited for. As she inspects the garment decorated with bones she raises an eyebrow then hands it to Ayame. "Kind of creepy, but it has bones on it. Maybe it'll serve you well." Next she inspects the headband. After pondering for a moment she hands it to Vulgrim. "This looks like something a cleric would wear." Next she hands Grumple the small short-bow and suggests that Trazish try on the breastplate. When she finally gets to the seed she bounces up and hugs Trazish giving him a quick "Thank you" and a kiss on the cheek. After that she puts the amulet on and thanks Jeremiah for being kind enough to let the group have the trinkets. Since there weren't any items particularly appealing to Tiriel Naerwen fished out some dried meat strips and pulled off a piece for the bird while she munched on the other piece.
Spellcraft: [dice=20] +10
OOC: Vulgrim & Trazish might have to swap items if I got them backwards. [rand=8895280201337641411593252447728861067095421809010973865537496238]

(OOC: Ironically, Naerwen matched the items with the exact people I thought would benefit from them the most. Heh.) After her inspection of the items, the elf concludes that all of them are most certainly magickal in nature. The identity of the items are made clear to Naerwen, who shares her findings with the rest of the group. The magick items are as follows: +1 Defiant Agile Breastplate of Inquisition (The effects of the 'Defiant' enchantment are located here: www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-armor/magic-armor-and-shield-special-abilities/defiant. The 'Inquisition' effect modifies the 'Defiant' enchantment, such that the bonuses for the 'Defiant' ability are applied to whatever monster type has been designated by an Inquisitor's active 'Bane' ability. It is a little more versatile this way.) +2 Shortbow Cackling Hag's Blouse (Description of this item here: www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/blouse-cackling-hag-s) Phylactery of the Shepherd (Description of this item here: www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/m-p/phylactery-of-the-shepherd) Seed of the Sacred Tree (Using this item requires wearing it as an amulet, effectively taking up a 'Neck' slot regarding equipment. The complete effects of wearing it still unknown, even with that high of a Spellcraft check, though some things have been ascertained. Any individual wearing this item gains a +2 natural armor bonus to AC, and may use the item to apply the spell 'Barkskin' (CL 3rd) to themselves as a swift action one time per day. The natural armor bonus granted by this item stacks with 'Barkskin.' Additionally, if worn by a druid, they instead gain a natural armor bonus to AC equal to 2 + 1 per every 5 class levels of druid they possess. A druid wearing this item may increase the number of times they may use the 'Barkskin' ability per day to 1 + 1 per 5 class levels of druid, with the caster level of the 'Barkskin' instead equal to their actual caster level.)

OOC: Yay shinies! BTW I'm assuming you can't wear more than one necklace/amulet, so if anyone would like to wear the +1 amulet of natural armor that I currently have let me know.
