OOC: *Gasp* They do exist! Glad you guys were able to post. Naerwen simply nodded as she inspected the wound. After a moment she said something in Elvish. Her voice was peaceful and soothing to the ears, and the wound began to heal. Once the wound healed she stood up. "Better?" Once Vulgrim was taken care of she glanced at the Orc to see if he was alright. Cure Light Wounds: [dice=8] +5 (not sure if it's +5 or +7 so I low-balled it.)[rand=7198962477288602126176672909823480510088019865048158826817059731457]

Vulgrim nods as Naerwen mumbles in elvish and inqures. The skin of his leg is mostly healed now, and doesn't look nearly as foul as it did before.
"My thanks, lady elf." He nods and adjusts his gear, as a final touch putting his hammer away. He turns to Flog.
"Need ye some help to tote up these cask or dispose of these dead rats?"

Naerwen looked up as Vulgrim inquired about her mumbling. She thought for a brief moment and replied, "It's a sort of blessing I sometimes say when I'm working with healing energies. It's not really required for the magick, but sometimes it just seems appropriate."
After she had stood she dusted herself off. Naerwen nodded at the dwarf's thanks. "You're welcome."
At the mention of the rats Tiriel perked up, but Naerwen told her they weren't fit for eating, so the bird settled back down on Naerwen's shoulder.

Flog rests his axe on the stone cellar floor for a moment, wiping some sweat from his greenish brow. "Aye, I be just as surprised as ye, dwarf. I'd appreciate help wit' some o' the casks," he says, pointing out several casks of manageable size to bring up to the main floor. Picking up the remains of "Big Bertha," Flog traipses with it back upstairs, supposedly to dispose of the carcass. Exactly one-quarter of a moment after he reaches the main floor, an exquisitely piercing voice can be heard shouting from beyond the trap door.
(Trazish and Ayame enter the Inn at this exact moment, and are able to see the following in approximately the same fashion.)
"Fffflog?!? What issss ttthhhat?!?" the voice shouts, quite discernibly belonging to Sarna. A brief pause follows. "WHAT?!!? No, ABSSSOLUTELY NOT, you will not mount tttthhat ffflea manged sssack of meat on ttthhe wall!" Another brief pause follows, intermittently interrupted with a barely audible string of orcish curses. A flare of fire can be seen erupting momentarily from beyond the trap door, and Flog tromps back down the stairs; though appearing more visibly singed than before. He grabs a couple bottles of wine from the racks wordlessly, and returns to the main floor in a similar grumped silence.
Meanwhile, night falls over Oakdale, the waning light of the sun finally giving way to the darkness for the evening. Lamps all over the city are lit by the town guard, the number of them apparently increased in anticipation of any potential threat surfacing from last night's chaos.
(OOC: Various book-keeping things. First of all: Grumple, Naerwen, Ayame, and Trazish each gain 500 XP for their respective RP's. Secondly, as a GM, I highly recommend you all take an 8-hour rest while you all are at the Inn/at your respective domiciles. If you do not, you will gain the "fatigued" condition if you continue adventuring for the night. Thirdly: Grumple, if you need to perform any alchemical manipulations for the evening, I will hand-wave that Morganna will let you use her equipment/lab in the basement of her shoppe at no charge, since you were that convincing in your haggling. Fourth: casks can be carried up the stairs with a successful DC 12 strength check.)

Vulgrim nods as Flog points out the casks he desires taken upstairs.
"I'll get 'em for ye, not a problem."
After kicking the rat carcasses into a tidy heap next to the arch, Vulgrim retrieves the casks as Flog directed and totes them up the stairs. He sets them behind the bar where directed.
After that, he sits down and takes another pull on his recently set aside mug.
"After I get a bit o' food I think I'll be turnin' in for the night. I have to go somewhere in the mornin'. Strongarm isn't in town and left in a hurry. What I gathered from searchin about is he probably headed off towards that Dojo. "

Naerwen eyed the casks contemplating whether she could carry them or not. Finally deciding against the attempt she simply followed Vulgrim back upstairs.
She nodded and quietly replied, "Sleep sounds nice." At the mention of the Dojo she perked up a little. "I have to go out that way to fetch something for the Tree. Would you mind company?" Remembering her deal with Morganna she corrected herself. "Well, after I make a quick stop at the shop I could leave that is ... if that's ok." She looked at Vulgrim with big, innocent eyes as she waited for his response.

Vulgrim shrugs. "I'll not tarry for too long, but if your errand is trivial I might be able to wait."

Naerwen nodded. "It shouldn't take long at all. I just have to run over to the shop to pick something up. I might even be able to do it before everyone is ready to leave." Naerwen glanced around. "Grumple is somewhere around here." Naerwen eyed Vulgrim for a minute, perhaps trying to think of something to start a conversation. Eventually Tiriel broke the silence, and Naerwen reached up to gently ruffle her feathers.

As Trazish walked into the inn, she was hoping to finally find some peace and quiet after the day she had had, but that dream was ruined with the sudden scream and large flame from Sarna at Flog. "Should I even ask?" she said, more of a mutter to herself than to anyone in particular. Walking up to the bar, she sat down and looked up at Sarna. Pulling out her coin purse, Trazish said, "It seems that you and Flog managed to survive the night. I, though, could use a very, very strong drink."

Sarna nods with an exasperated mien at Trazish's comment, her gaze still momentarily distracted to a rubbish bin behind the bar, a very slight trail of smoke fizzing into the air from the discarded 'trophy' remains. Turning her attention back to the kobold at the counter, she sets one large mug and four tea-cup-sized glasses on the counter. She fills the mug with plain water, and pulls an ornately-carved flask containing an almost luminescent ruby-colored liquid from a cabinet nearby. Sarna deftly pours an equal amount of this liquid in each of the smaller glasses with practiced ease, quickly stoppering the bottle after serving. She then just as quickly downs three of the four glasses, pauses a moment, lets out a cloud of steam from her mouth with a satisfied hiss. Sarna nudges the mug of water and the remaining glass of the ruby liquid to Trazish.
"Here, a housssse sssspesssshhhal; ssssstrongessst one we have. You may need tttthhhhe water assss a chassser," she says as she saunters away to serve another customer at the bar. That customer happens to be Vulgrim, in conversation with Naerwen, whom she serves a healthy-sized portion of mutton from a platter freshly brought from the kitchen.[/i][/color] Should Trazish wish to drink this concoction, he/she will need to make a DC 18 Fortitude save. Failure will result in a sensation akin to having your mouth literally set on fire, quite similar to bathing your entire oral cavity with capsaicin oil, for approximately two minutes.(OOC: To those unfamiliar with capsaicin, I will refer you to this scale to indicate how hot it is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_scale)[rand=22157219279312768856692992158573349276075718215664432709941556281]

Vulgrim nods to Sarna as she plunks the meat down on the table.
"Thank Ye. I was about starved."
Vulgrim takes out a knife and carves off a chunk, taking a large portion of the meat and eating away.
After he has finished a bit he nods to Naerwen. "How wen't yer other errands when we got to town?"
Vulgrim glances down to the other end of the bar to where the Kobold/elf/man/woman sits, contemplating something rather bright red that is sitting on the counter next to a sizable mug of water.

Naerwen glances at the large portion of meat as it is placed in front of Vulgrim. "Other errands? Well ... I don't suppose I had any specific errands. I pretty much have all of my things with me except for my books, so I kept Grumple company. He does seem to rather enjoy shopping and bartering. I did manage to work out a trade with the shopkeeper Morganna. That's why I'm supposed to stop by tomorrow morning. Come to think of it -Deekin stopped by at the last as well. He picked up some sort of wand I think." Catching Vulgrim's glance she looked to the other end of the bar to see Trazish, and she idly commented, "That's a pretty colour of red ... quite a bit of water to go with such a tiny drink though." Somewhat amused and curious Naerwen continued to watch the Kobold for at least a minute. OOC: pure capsaicin? If he drinks it he'll want something oily to help neutralize the reaction ... or maybe bread and milk. Otherwise we can watch him flail for a couple of minutes. teehee Good luck Matt. =^.^=

Looking at the glass with the ruby red concoction, Trazish took a breath, sighed, raised it up and, with a quick pray, said, "One has but one life, so live for the day and rest in death..."
Fort: [dice=20] + 6
As the liquid runs down the back of her throat, Trazish felt a warm tingle ripple back up her throat quickly into a strong burn, causing a few sparks to erupt from her mouth. It packed a hell of a punch, but it was exactly what she needed. Looking back up at Sarna, Trazish said, "Well, I'll keep the water, but I wouldn't mind two more of those drinks and, if you have any left, some mutton like my friend over there."
Turning towards the Vulgrim and Naerwen, Trazish said, "So what was this I heard about a Dojo?"

Naerwen slightly shrugged at the lack of reaction from the red drink. "I guess it wasn't that horrible anyway."
"We're heading out that way tomorrow. He thinks that's where his friend may have gone, and I need to fetch something from a place near there."

Sarna nods in approval after Trazish downs his drink, as she deftly pours another two glasses for the kobold. She slides them down the bar to him/her, an amused smile on her face after hearing Naerwen's comment. "Not too horrible, sssshhhe sssaysss? Tttthhhat ssssoundsss like a challenge, I would ssssay!" Sarna chuckles, as she also pours and slides a glass to rest before the elf as well. She then turns to serve a plate of mutton to the kobold from the platter, its succulent aroma filling the air.
Due to the 'heat' of the drink, Trazish may add another d8 of damage to his/her next use of his/her Dragon's Breath ability, if used within the next 24 hours.
For each successive drink after the first, gain a -1 penalty to Fortitude rolls for the drink saving throw to account for increasing degrees of inebriation.
