Currently, I'm playing in two games IRL - Kingmaker and Carrion Crown.
In Kingmaker, I'm playing Ariah I,Baron Duke of Asnogal. He's the king of our country. He's a cleric of Asmodeus with a bent for domination through economic vision. He's kinda a Republican. He's very vain and arrogant, and loves the rule of contracts. For instance, he picked the country's military uniforms (light blue with gold accents) based on what would bring out the colour of his eyes.
His Constitution is also more of a roundabout way of saying that he is in charge of everything, while establishing offices to delegate his powers to subordinates as he sees fit. Ariah leads an adventuring company and loves to berate the lesser among them, especially Tayla, but he also has the ability to bond with lesser souls, such as the insane murderer/bodyguard Noonan (who believes that a Tofu of Annihilation will one day destroy the world unless he can stop it with his knife named Ol' Sticky). His diplomatic and interpersonal skills are unmatched, and he can tell a liar easily.
One of his defining characteristics is that he is trying to reform the worship of Asmodeus from a cruel sadism into an efficient capitalist rule; recently, the Nine visited him and gave him a gift from each of them to help him on his task. He is currently married to Sake Alum, a necromancer whom he cares deeply about in a platonic fashion, considering that she is obsessed more with the dead than the living. His closest advisers are Dr. Victor von Claw and Mr. Gibbles.
My other character is Zephyr, an orc from the Holds of Belkzen who was taken as a slave from his tribe. His tribe was the Skeletal Claw Tribe, who's leader was a half-orc necromancer. A unique alliance of Ustalavic border towns and two orc tribes destroyed the Skeletal Claws, and Zephyr was taken by a human soldier to work his fields. His new owners, however, were struck by his intelligence and eventually Zephyr was freed. He worked the farms for some time until his human "parents" died, and then struck out onto his own. Some time later he came across Dr. Petros Lorrimor and saved his life, being invited to the reading of the professor's will a half year later.
Zephyr is woefully ignorant of both human and orc culture, having lived aside from both. His time after his adoptive parents died was spent escorting humans into the Holds of Belkzen to trade, but he was ostracized by those who he led, leading to a lot of self-loathing and hatred. At the same time, he is still marked by the sign of a hated clan, and is not allowed back into orc society. For instance, only recently he realized that humans don't have darkvision, and he has a strange tendency to try to eat silverware.
Because of his upbringing, Zephyr tends towards lawful traits, but he is constantly struggling to keep his beast in check. He occasionally has a rage, but tries to only smash one or two things when this happens. However, violence is still a part of his being, and when things get bloody, he is at his happiest. To this end, he carries weapons of much destruction into battle, switching between a lucerne hammer and a bardiche most of the time.
