Hi everyone, just so people have an idea who wants to play what, toss out some character ideas here.
There is all services available most of the time, so party balance isn't a huge issue in an official Pathfinder Adventure Path.

I'm likely playing a rogue with an alignment of neutral or chaotic of whatever everyone else is playing...trying to make a John McClane-esque character

I'm thinking about a druid at the moment. This is subject to change in the near future; however, I am definitely going for a magicky type person.

I'm definitely interested in an arcane caster. Thinking sorceror but that may change.
Don't really want to play a divine character since I've been doing that a lot recently.

There are some sweet archetypes for sorcerer. I was really leaning towards one when my Carrion Crown group started, but my buddy wanted to play his fire wizard, so I went with fighter.

Sweet! I'll poke around a bit tonight in the rulebook and see what tickles my fancy.

If you don't have a copy of the APG, all the other options are up at the SRD. Really cool stuff.

Poked around a bit and I'm currently considering an elf conjuror... sounds like it could be fun, especially in Cheliax.

Wizard then? Not a bad call. Elves are simply awesome for wizards. Conjurers are cool too, my buddy Jay Classic played one for a few years in my last long-term 3.5 game.

Yeah, I think I'm going to go for the devil-binder feel since that's pretty common in Cheliax. (Not evil, just "practical.") I'll finish sorting out the details today/tonight.

That is interesting indeed. Check out the Infernal Binder subschool on the SRD (from the Cheliax book). Might fit what you want to do thematically.

Yeah, I saw that one, but I think I like the Teleportation subschool better. The main ability of the Infernal Binder seems pretty situational...

I thought so too. I was a little unimpressed by it. The Teleportation subschool...that looks really neat. Free little adjustments rock, especially if you're a wizard. "Hey...don't get up in my face!"

My thoughts exactly! Is there a wizard's school in Westcrown, or would I need to have been trained elsewhere, such as in the capitol?

I don't have the AP here (which has a full dressing-down of Westcrown for the DM), but I don't think there is one. There is an elven settlement in the woods to the north, so you could be trained there. There is certainly a school in Egorian.
