Upon inspection of the piece of wood in Naerwen's hands, little information can be gleaned regarding its potential use or magical effects.
"At the very least, I assume a very enthusiastic examination of the object by the Archmage, given what I know of his...demeanor," Giloren replies with a very dry smile. "Indubitably he will have questions and want to run his...tests...." the druid says with an obvious distaste in his mouth "Though I am sure you may ask him about what to do with it after he is finished," he finishes with a smile. Giloren then turns to address the rest of the group.
"Once again, I cannot express enough of my gratitude for the service you all have done in this day. Please, follow me for a moment. I have something for you all..." The High Druid hobbles off towards the edge of the clearing, assuming the group to be following him, towards a particular oak tree just north of one of the cairn stones. Rapping his staff on the tree trunk three times, the roots of the tree move subtly in the dirt to make room for a chest that heaves itself out of the ground. The lid pops open by itself, revealing a sizable stash of gold, gems, and other various objects.
"Please, help yourself to the contents of this chest. Our Circle kept this in case of emergencies or we needed services rendered for requests. Given that our current circumstances could be considered the definition of an emergency, I would be happy for it be put to good use by such as yourselves," Giloren says with an amused smile, taking a step back from the chest to allow perusal. Upon further inspection, the chest contains the following:
4 vials, each containing a different colored liquid A belt made from dark piece of worked leather A wand A scroll case, containing 4 scrolls An amulet, made from a stone with symbols etched into its surface Gold and gems, with a total worth of 10,000 GP (OOC: I would highly suggest splitting this evenly amongst yourselves, y'all are a little behind on the loot curve.)

Naerwen slightly wrinkled her nose for the briefest of moments at the mention of the Archmage's "tests". As the High Druid finished she gave a nod and tucked the item away safely in her satchel.
As they move toward the edge of the clearing Naerwen notices Giloren's hobbling. Wondering if the hobbling was a result of his age or the product of injury she looked more closely to see which of the two it was likely to be.
At first glance into the chest the stone amulet seems particularly amusing. Her curiosity taking over she bends down and picks it up to inspect it. As she does so she halfway mutters to herself, "What's this?"

As the High Druid mentioned the scroll, Trazish stopped, jaw agape. With a slow slap of her palm to her forehead, she slid it down her snout in annoyance. She had completely forgot about the scroll in all the combat from the day and turned to the group. "Who had that again?" She began to notice her temper was a bit under control again, but still simmering. She wasn't sure if it was her body or the stress of this whole situation, but she was going to need to keep that under control.
*OOC: I really don't remember who had the scroll. If you want to use it, it would be helpful. Kobold Trazish is not a very useful Trazish.*

Vulgrim listens and nods as the druid talks. "Aye. We shall head back to the Archmage as soon as we can."
As the chest is opened, Vulgrim takes a look at the contents.
He turns to the druid. "Care to give us a rundown of what ye have her in terms of potions and scrolls and whatnot? I can look it over and figure it out meself, but if ye have a list or something it would be a mite bit quicker for us."
If nothing is given, Spellcraft all the things and find out what we have
(OOC: Not at my computer with access to the character sheet... Docs is being weird at the moment so it doesn't want to work. )

With an evaluating eye, Naerwen can tell while the High Druid has taken some damage, it is quite obvious that his impediment in movement is more likely due to his rather advanced age; she can guess that Giloren is probably nearing the later years of his third century of life.
As Trazish smacks him/her/itself in the snoot, he/she/it abruptly remembers putting the set of scrolls given to him/her/it by the Abbot in him/her/its pack. Taking out the set of scrolls and giving them a brief perusal (the scrolls fortunately being written in a very easy to understand dialect of Common), it becomes quite obvious what is needed to occur.
"Ye Olde Magickal Ritual, To Remove Spells of The Most Confounding Sorte:
If thou dost seekest from magickal effects to be free, then gatherest the following spellcasters three...
1. A student most enlightened in the Arcane arts, who dost knowest 'Dispel Magic' 2. A practitioner of the most Holy magicks, capable of performing 'Break Enchantment' 3. A protector of all that nature doth hold, possessing the ability to cast 'True Form'
Once hence gathered around thee, allow them doth express creativity; inscribe the following runes (picture of a diagram attached to the scroll), for the magick doth becomest in tune. Cast thine spells (Carefully!), and from thine curse thee shall be free!"
Bound to the ritual scroll are three additional scrolls: a scroll of 'Dispel Magic', 'Break Enchantment', and 'True Form'.
(OOC: That last part roughly translates in game mechanics that those casting spells need to each make a DC 20 Spellcraft/Knowledge (Arcana/Religion/Nature, respectively) check. Each Success grants the recipient of this ritual a cumulative +2 bonus to a saving throw made for each 'effect' they are currently experiencing. At the end of the ritual, the target makes a saving throw of the type they initially failed (in Trazish's case, two failed Fortitude saves) against a certain DC (known only to yours truly). Success results in the effects permanently ending. Failure....well....we'll deal with that if it happens. The ritual takes approximately 30 minutes to perform.)
Giloren shrugs his shoulders upon Vulgrim's request, emptying a couple small pockets in his robe to reveal the absence of such a list. The smith, taking a couple moments to peruse the items, comes up with the following clarifications:
Scrolls of Charm Animal, Forest Friend, Hide Campsite, and Grove of Respite A belt of Giant's Strength +2 A wand of Produce Flame (Caster Level 3, 10 charges remaining) An amulet of Natural Armor +1
The dwarf is completely dumbfounded when he reaches the vials, until (OOC: Making an assumption here to move things along) Grumple leans over, sniffs slightly once, and identifies them all instantaneously.[/color]
Vials of Bomber's Eye, Alter Self, See Invisibility, and Amplify Elixir.

Ayame gave a little huff of anger as the Druid insulted her master, but she was too content to be sitting on Dumbles to put up more of a protest. The last two days had more fighting in them then she cared for at the moment. She kinda missed the days at the castle with her long naps and quirky master.
Oh well, better to go off into the world to find more fabulous things then lay about in a castle...although she still missed her master quirkiness--and the naps. Besides, this purple matter was quite interesting to be able to create so many undead...
Glancing over from her draped position over her familiar, she watched as the dwarf looked over all of the items in the chest. The scrolls didn't interest her much as the magic from them seemed to be more suited toward the druids, nor did the vials have much appeal either. The remaining items, however, all seemed to have something that may be of value.

(OOC: Sorry! Was catching up + packing + traveling! Will be more consistent for the next several months!)
Grumplestiltskin listens attentively to the Arch Druid, but stands off to one side with Deekin and Ayame. He pats Ayame as she growls at the insult to Erfryn, quietly whispering "We all make mistakes. ... Though you have to admit, this was a big one."
He perks up as the potions come out, and he happily identifies them for the group, before putting them into his own satchel (along with his share of the gold). The other items interest him, though he does not reach for them.
"So, you mentioned cleaning up this mess," Grumple called to the Arch Druid, "What can be done? Has the purple magic not... contaminated... the bodies it touched? And what of the damage to the town - can we be sure the corruption has gone there, too?"

Naerwen fished out a few gems because she thought they were pretty. The majority of them being sapphires as she seemed to favor blue. She glanced around to make sure no one wanted the amulet she had picked up. Assuming no one objected she put it on. "We can try and split it when we get back to town maybe? If you need help carrying it let us know."

Remembering that, in the rush to get to the forest, they had stuck the scroll into her own bag, Trazish took it out and read it. As she relayed the context to the others and let whoever wanted to read it look at the scroll, Trazish said, "Well, considering how many of us there are that are familiar with the arts, who is willing to help break these curses? We can either do the ritual here and back in town, but the sooner we do this, the sooner I can, hopefully, get back into my old body."
With that said, Trazish took the giant's belt and wrapped it around herself. She needed all the strength she could muster just to carry her sword.

Ayame decided that the wand worked for her. She reached down and picked it up along with her share of gold. Realizing that it didn't leave much for the dwarf, she turned to Vulgrim.
"If you would rather the wand, take it," she held out the wand, "I have my rod and a wand already if you desire an easy to cast spell considering you cast so many already. It would at least save you some hassle if you so wish."

Giloren shrugs a little sadly in response to Grumple's question. "I will do what I can for the remains of my...friends...here. It is the least the I can do, after all," he says, glancing at one of the several bodies lying around the cairn stones. "I can offer little advice for the remainder of the town, however. The magick at my disposal will be of little help outside of the wilds of this Forest, I am afraid. Your best chance currently is to hope that the Archmage will be able to provide some insight into the situation," Giloren says with a very doubtful look on his face. He turns to start hobbling slowly back towards the Tree. "You all are free to stay here as long as you would like, though I would not dally too long," the druid says. "I do not know how long this calm amidst the storm will last, after all..."
(OOC: FYI, using a wand containing a spell not on your spell list requires a "Use Magic Device" check, which can only be performed if you have ranks in that skill. Also, let me know if you have questions regarding leveling your character. Refer to the SRD for specifics, but generally things you will be modifying as you level include:
-Increase in HP (roll your hit die, add con mod; add this to your HP total. You can do this as an addendum to any post you make.) -Skill point allocation -Feats (everyone gains a feat at 7th level) -Alterations to base saves and BAB -Class features (refer to your respective class info) and spells (if applicable)
I will be opening the next thread sometime tomorrow once everyone is ready to continue.)

Once the High Druid gets far enough away from the others for a private conversation to occur Naerwen tells the others she will be back in a moment after she speaks with him. If they watch her they will probably see her give Giloren a hug as she expresses her condolences.
OOC: Sean, I'll send a PM when I get a moment/can think.
